Zepto and Truecaller partnership: Zepto's quick commerce app and Truecaller's verification badge for customer trust

Zepto, the Mumbai-based startup known for its 10-minute delivery promise, has partnered with Truecaller to enhance user trust and streamline customer interactions.

The collaboration integrates Truecaller’s Customer Experience Solutions into Zepto’s tech stack, with features such as Verified Business Caller ID, Video Caller ID, and contextual messaging.

As Zepto scales operations across 80+ cities with a catalogue of 45,000 products, verified communication has become essential.

Truecaller’s Verified Business Caller ID will now ensure that all calls from Zepto display the company’s name, logo, and a verification badge—reducing missed calls and boosting user confidence.

Contextual Interactions, Frictionless Logins

The new features go beyond branding. With add-ons like “Call Reason,” “Call Me Back,” and “Video Caller ID,” Zepto aims to make every user interaction, including delivery confirmations, more meaningful and efficient.

User onboarding is also set to improve. By integrating Truecaller’s SDK, Zepto and Zepto Café users can now log in with a single tap, skipping the OTP step entirely. This is expected to reduce friction and lower drop-off rates during sign-ups.

Marketing and Campaign Tools Built In

Zepto will also tap into Truecaller’s Verified Campaigns feature, allowing the company to send branded SMS and call-based outreach to high-intent users. This is particularly useful during promotional pushes or peak ordering hours.

Kaivalya Vohra, Zepto’s co-founder, called trusted communication “foundational to every successful transaction” and highlighted how the integration boosts both trust and operational efficiency.

Truecaller’s Global Head, GTM & Developer Products, Priyam Bose, said the company is excited to partner with Zepto “as they continue redefining urban convenience in India.”

Founded in 2021, Zepto has rapidly become a leader in India’s quick commerce space, with a logistics model powered by dark stores. Truecaller, meanwhile, adds Zepto to its portfolio of 2,500+ global business clients using its verification tools.
