Lucidity, an Indian startup focused on cloud storage optimization, has secured $21 million in Series A funding led by WestBridge Capital, with participation from existing investor Alpha Wave Global.
The investment will support product development, market expansion, go-to-market team expansion, and enhanced product capabilities. It brings Lucidity’s total investment to $32 million.
Founded in 2021 by Vatsal Rastogi and Nitin Bhadauria, Lucidity addresses cloud storage overprovisioning in enterprise environments.
According to a Deloitte report, up to 30% of cloud spending is typically wasted due to pay-as-you-go pricing and lack of visibility.
Lucidity’s flagship product, Storage Auto-Scaler, optimizes cloud storage usage. Its application-agnostic NoOps layer integrates with existing environments without requiring code-level changes.
Storage Auto-Scaler dynamically adjusts block storage volumes according to real-time data demands. The solution promises up to 70% cost savings for enterprises without risking data loss or downtime.

"Our bigger competitor is the status quo," explains Bhadauria. "Customers are aware of the problem but believe this is how cloud storage is managed."
Major cloud providers, including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, offer basic optimization tools. None provide comprehensive storage optimization solutions.
Lucidity targets Fortune 2000 companies
Lucidity primarily targets Fortune 2000 companies in the U.S. and Europe. Seventy percent of its customer base is in the U.S., while Fortune 100 companies account for 20% of its clients.
The startup also offers Storage Audit, a free tool for analyzing enterprise cloud storage usage and costs.
Funding will support products and go-to-market expansion
Lucidity plans to use the new funding to expand its go-to-market team and enhance its product capabilities. The company plans to launch a new product within six months and introduce additional optimization modules over time.
Lucidity currently employs about 100 people across offices in India, Abu Dhabi, London, and the U.S.
