Nurix AI has acquired enterprise conversational AI firm Verloop.io. The companies did not disclose the financial terms of the deal, and no valuation was stated by either party.
Nurix AI is led by founder and CEO Mukesh Bansal and is backed by General Catalyst, Accel and Prosus; it raised $27.5 million in seed and Series A funding in September 2024, in a round co-led by General Catalyst and Accel with participation from Meraki Labs, and later secured Rs 135 crore in fresh funding with Prosus joining its cap table, according to media reports.
Verloop.io was founded by Gaurav Singh, who will join Nurix AI's leadership team after the deal closes to help shape product strategy, enterprise go-to-market initiatives and next-generation AI agents.
Nurix AI builds autonomous AI software and agents for enterprise workflows, and runs a voice AI platform called NuPlay. Verloop.io provides conversational AI tools for customer engagement across digital channels, and says it powers more than 20 million customer interactions every month across banking, financial services, retail and telecommunications.
The acquisition combines Verloop.io's chat automation capabilities with NuPlay, letting enterprises deploy AI agents across voice, chat and other AI-native channels for customer engagement and business workflows.
Why it matters
For buyers, partners and investors outside India, this is a consolidation move ahead of Nurix AI's stated push into voice and chat automation for businesses in India and the Middle East.
Verloop.io brings scale Nurix AI didn't have on its own — more than 20 million monthly interactions across regulated sectors like banking and telecom — which gives the combined company reference deployments to point to when selling into Gulf enterprise accounts.
