Loopify Raises $500K in Crypto for Humanitarian Aid in Gaza

Pseudonymous crypto trader and startup founder Loopify has raised over $500,000 to support humanitarian relief efforts in Gaza. The initiative, which has been ongoing for about a year, has provided essential aid, including food and clothing, to those affected by the ongoing conflict.
The effort first gained traction in March 2024, raising $50,000 in SOL and ETH within two weeks.
“This is the first time I’ve helped fundraise on my account and put my reputation behind something of this sort,”
Loopify shared on X, adding that he was visiting Jordan to oversee the aid distribution.

Loopify, founder of web3 education platform Pluid and blockchain gaming studio Endless Clouds, noted that his motivation stemmed from wanting to provide a pathway for crypto users to contribute to relief efforts.

“[My] motivation is simple, I donated six figs myself before any of this, what's happening is unacceptable — I wanted to give people a pathway to help with crypto as I know many people struggle to offboard but want to help.”
To facilitate aid delivery, Loopify partnered with Human Appeal, a nonprofit organization focused on disaster relief. He played a key role in helping the organization accept crypto donations, citing the ease and speed of blockchain transactions.
“It’s global and easy without setting up an infra to convert currencies. It’s instant. Doesn’t require logins or extra details, just an open address.”
Blockchain data from Arkham Intelligence shows that the initiative’s ETH wallet raised over $231,000 before a major withdrawal in July, followed by another $60,000 in ETH. Donations in SOL were more challenging to track due to being linked to Loopify’s personal wallet, which previously held around $141,000.
Loopify remains focused on expanding aid, including providing prosthetics and mobile homes.
“Aid is as important as it was last month, and last year. The people of Gaza are still struggling and it will take a long time to rebuild, mentally and physically heal.”
