MyHeritage has recently unveiled a brand-new platform known as OldNews.com, granting users access to historical newspapers from the 1800s and 1900s. This website showcases articles from a wide array of newspapers, ranging from major publications to smaller ones.

OldNews operates as a subscription service priced at $99 annually, offering a 7-day free trial. Geared towards genealogists, educators, researchers, and history enthusiasts, the website allows exploration of articles detailing people and events from bygone eras.

OldNews presently provides newspapers from various countries such as the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Austria, the Netherlands, and Australia. The company has intentions to broaden its collection to encompass content from additional countries in the future.

Available in 11 languages, the website leverages OCR technology and proprietary algorithms developed by MyHeritage to enrich the news content.

The corridor, every morning.

Funding rounds and cross-border capital moves, one email, five minutes.

The launch of this new website comes at a time when news outlets are shutting down and erasing their content, resulting in the loss of access to numerous news articles and features from the past.

OldNews is introduced to safeguard news content and facilitate easy access to significant historical records, serving as a wonderful tribute to journalism.
