Eco-Friendly Commuting: Bounce Infinity Introduces Swappable Batteries

  • Bounce Infinity collaborates with Sun Mobility for swappable batteries in 30,000 scooters in key Indian markets.
  • Users can access Sun Mobility's 600+ swapping stations for a 95 km range per swap, addressing charging challenges.
  • Swappable batteries aim to make urban mobility more affordable and convenient, with a 40% cost reduction.

Bounce Infinity has partnered with Sun Mobility to introduce swappable batteries in 30,000 of its scooters in key markets like Bengaluru and Hyderabad. The scooters will also be available in Mumbai, Pune, and Delhi-NCR.

Users can take advantage of Sun Mobility's network of over 600 swapping stations in 19 cities to extend their vehicle's range. The battery swap will provide a range of 95 kilometers per swap.

This collaboration aims to make urban mobility more affordable and convenient by eliminating charging hassles.

The cost of Bounce's Infinity E1 scooter with the swappable battery fixture will be approximately 40% lower than the fixed battery version. The high costs of e-scooters in India have greatly affected the adoption of electric two-wheelers. Compared to traditional scooters, e-scooters are generally more expensive.

One of the main reasons for this is the battery, which accounts for about 40% of the total cost. These batteries need to be imported and also require additional safety monitoring technology.

Mr. V. Hallekere CEO of Bounce mentioned that users don't need to worry about battery range, battery cost, or battery life.

Anant Badjatya, CEO of SUN Mobility, stated that by incorporating Bounce Infinity's scooters into their battery-swapping network, they are not only transforming commuting but also influencing the future of sustainable and efficient transportation.
