Darwin AI's human-like AI assistant used by small businesses in Latin America

Darwin AI, a startup in Brazil, is creating a conversational AI assistant for small businesses in Latin America. The assistant interacts with customers in a more human-like way to increase revenue. If needed, a human can step in to continue the conversation.

Schiaffino and Sculli started developing Darwin AI's system that integrates with a company's customer relationship management tool. Schiaffino described it as a two-sided system that communicates with employees and customers to prioritize the most important leads.

The conversational AI market is projected to grow by over 20% annually until 2030 as more companies adopt automation in their processes. This has attracted several startups, including Rasa, Kore.ai, DXwand, and OpenDialog, who aim to address this demand in the enterprise sector.

Since its launch in 2023, Darwin AI has processed thousands of conversations and has customers in various countries, such as Mexico, Peru, Argentina, Brazil, and Colombia.
