Ben Armstrong, widely known as "BitBoy Crypto," was arrested in Florida on March 25, 2025, following his disclosure on social media about an outstanding warrant for his arrest.
The Volusia County Division of Corrections listed Armstrong as a fugitive from justice and confirmed his detention at 7:18 pm local time.
Armstrong had previously revealed on X (formerly Twitter) that the warrant stemmed from emails he sent to Cobb County, Georgia Superior Court Judge Kimberly Childs while representing himself legally.

This is not Armstrong's first encounter with law enforcement. In September 2023, he was arrested while livestreaming outside the residence of a former business associate, accusing them of withholding his Lamborghini.
Additionally, Armstrong has faced multiple legal challenges, including a class-action lawsuit filed by $BEN token investors who accused him of misleading them through paid promotions.
Armstrong’s legal troubles extend further, with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) investigating fraudulent activities involving 15 cryptocurrencies, including $BEN.
While Armstrong admitted to accepting payments for token promotions—some of which he described as scams—he insisted these endorsements were unintentional.
Details about Armstrong’s legal representation remain unclear, and he has not been available for comment. His arrest has sparked widespread discussion within the crypto community, highlighting the controversies surrounding his career and behavior.
