Animecoin (ANIME), a token launched to support the ecosystem of the popular Azuki NFT project, has achieved a significant milestone within just 24 hours of its debut. Launched on January 23, ANIME recorded a market capitalization surpassing $350 million, with a fully diluted value (FDV) of approximately $630 million and 5.53 billion tokens currently in circulation, according to CoinMarketCap.

With a total supply of 10 billion tokens, Animecoin’s tokenomics prioritize the Azuki community, allocating 37.5% of the tokens to them. An additional 13% is set aside for future governance via a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) to support “community cultivation.”

The Azuki Foundation will receive 24.44%, while the remaining 25% will be distributed among the Azuki company, early contributors, and partner communities, such as Hyperliquid's HYPE stakers, Kaito yappers, and Arbitrum communities. Notably, tokens allocated to early contributors, advisors, and Azuki employees will vest over three years, starting with a one-year cliff.

ANIME, currently trading at $0.063, plays a central role in Azuki and the Arbitrum Foundation’s vision of an anime-centric Web3 network. Upcoming plans include Animechain, a Layer 3 network built with Arbitrum’s Orbit technology, where Animecoin will serve as the gas token.
