Lenskart raises stake in AjnaLens parent to 9% on smart eyewear push

Lenskart Solutions has invested an additional Rs 7.99 crore in Dimension NXG, the parent company of AjnaLens. The transaction, completed on September 13, 2026, lifts Lenskart's stake to 9.01% from 4.84%, according to a regulatory filing.

Lenskart acquired a 1.8% stake in Dimension NXG for Rs 7.99 crore. This is Lenskart's third stake purchase in Dimension NXG this year, following a 0.68% stake purchase in February and another 1.69% stake purchase in July. The three transactions total Rs 18.5 crore for an additional 4.17% stake.

AjnaLens, founded in 2014 by Pankaj Raut, Abhijit Patil, and Abhishek Tomar, develops hardware and software solutions using XR technology for sectors including defence and enterprises. The startup's parent reported turnover of Rs 10.36 crore in FY26, down 35% from Rs 15.97 crore in FY24.

Lenskart first invested in AjnaLens in July 2025 to develop AI-powered smart glasses, combining its expertise in frame design and engineering with AjnaLens's XR technology capabilities. Lenskart said the latest investment will support technology-led opportunities in smart eyewear and strengthen its strategic association with the XR, AI, and smart wearable technology ecosystem.

Lenskart has launched products such as Phonic audio glasses and is working on AI-powered smart glasses. It has partnered with Qualcomm for the technology stack for its smart glasses.
