California-based autonomous technology company Bluewhite, formerly Blue White Robotics, and New Holland, a brand of CNH, collaborated in a multiphase partnership. They aim to focus on manufacturing, distributing, and integrating Bluewhite’s autonomous solutions for New Holland tractors in North America, enabling autonomous operations in orchards, vineyards, and specialized crop settings.

“We’re incredibly excited about collaborating with CNH and New Holland to accelerate the adoption of autonomous technologies in the field that not only improve productivity and profitability for growers but also promote safe and sustainable methods of producing food,” said Ben Alfi, Chief Executive Officer, Bluewhite.

This partnership spans three phases in a multi-year initiative. Beginning with advancing Bluewhite autonomous technology across New Holland's product lineup. With immediate implementation, certain New Holland dealers in the western U.S. can sell, distribute, and service Bluewhite aftermarket kits for current New Holland tractors.

Furthermore, the order placements are planned to start in summer 2024. It also plans for expansion regionally and globally to enhance customer accessibility. As a collaboration, they are exploring the potential for factory-installed solutions in the future.

“Bluewhite has proven to be the leader in terms of implementing autonomy in the specialty crops space, a market in great demand for this type of innovation. The integration of Bluewhite into our technology stack allows our customers to access much-needed autonomous technology in an attainable aftermarket solution,” said Carlo Lambro, Brand President of New Holland.

Founded in 2017 by Ben Alfi, Yair Shahar, and Aviram Shmueli, Bluewhite’s farm technology integrates artificial intelligence (AI), sensor fusion, advanced vehicle systems, and precise implementation control to assist growers in improving fleet management, utilizing data effectively, and achieving higher productivity with fewer resources.

Bluewhite works with over 20 leading permanent crop growers, enabling autonomous farming on multiple crops and tractor models across 150,000 acres in the U.S.
