Vorflux, a new AI startup founded by Rippling co-founder Prasanna Sankar, has raised $15 million in seed funding. The round was led by Y Combinator, Peak XV Partners, Powerset, and Alliance, with participation from angel investors Parker Conrad, Immad Akhund, and Balaji Srinivasan. No valuation was disclosed.
The company is building an AI-powered platform to automate the software development lifecycle end-to-end. Rather than stopping at code generation — the territory current AI coding assistants occupy — Vorflux is developing what Sankar calls an “autopilot” system.
It handles planning, coding, testing, code reviews, and deployment, applying a company's engineering standards and internal workflows across those tasks using third-party AI models. The premise is that existing tools still leave too much manual oversight to engineers; Vorflux aims to reduce that intervention.
Why it matters: global enterprises are under pressure to shorten development cycles, and every productivity dollar saved in engineering has outsized margin impact. A platform that encodes a company's own standards into an automated pipeline — rather than outputting generic code — addresses the governance and consistency concerns that keep regulated buyers from adopting AI coding tools at scale.
Sankar's tenure as CTO of Rippling, a company built on workflow automation across HR and IT, gives him a credible lens on enterprise-grade process engineering.
