Venttup raises $3 million pre-Series A led by Rainmatter

Venttup, a Bengaluru-based B2B manufacturing startup, has raised $3 million in a pre-Series A round led by Rainmatter, the investment arm of Zerodha, and Unicorn India Ventures.
Unicorn India Ventures had also backed Venttup's seed round in September 2024. The startup was incubated at Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM).
The fresh capital will go towards expanding the engineering team, investing in precision manufacturing facilities and rapid prototyping infrastructure, and adopting AI to improve B2B sourcing, supplier intelligence and operational efficiency, the company said.
Founded in 2022 by Sandeep Nair, M. Wasim Ankli and Joseph Panakkal, Venttup is a B2B manufacturing company focused on the localisation and development of critical and precision components and subassemblies.
Under its Manufacturing as a Service model, it supports customers across engineering design, specification standardisation, rapid prototyping, testing, validation and contract manufacturing.

Its capabilities span precision machining, casting and forging, sheet metal fabrication, box builds, special purpose machines, industrial automation, robotics and technology-enabled B2B sourcing. It combines in-house engineering capabilities with a network of MSME manufacturing partners, serving sectors such as energy, data centres, mobility, defence, aerospace and space.
Venttup is also setting up a manufacturing facility in Bengaluru to strengthen its rapid prototyping and precision manufacturing capabilities. The facility will support precision machining, turning and sheet metal production for applications in energy transition, defence, aerospace and space. It is expected to help shorten the time from component development and validation to production readiness and mass manufacturing.
The company said it grew fivefold to Rs 10 crore in FY26. Over the past 12 months, it has added more than 15 large companies to its customer base and built a business opportunity pipeline of around Rs 30 crore across new energy, mobility and smart infrastructure.
Venttup plans to expand across four business verticals: energy transition and data centres; aerospace, defence and space systems; smart infrastructure and future mobility; and electronics, automation and smart manufacturing.
