UPI Burj Khalifa Tickets: How to Book Online

Indian travellers can now book UPI Burj Khalifa tickets online before travelling to the UAE. NPCI International Payments Limited (NIPL) has enabled UPI payments on the official At the Top, Burj Khalifa website through a partnership with UAE-based payments firm NEOPAY and Emaar Entertainment.

The integration makes At the Top, Burj Khalifa the first attraction in the UAE to accept UPI for e-commerce transactions. It extends UPI’s use in the country beyond in-store QR code payments to online travel bookings.

How UPI Burj Khalifa tickets work for Indian travellers

Travellers can select their preferred experience on the official At the Top, Burj Khalifa website and complete the purchase using UPI before reaching the UAE. The source does not specify which UPI apps, ticket categories or transaction limits are supported.

The change means Indian visitors can complete their ticket purchase before arriving in Dubai, using a payment method familiar to them. The source does not state whether travellers need an Indian bank account, a UAE mobile number or any additional verification.

Why this matters for India–UAE payments

NIPL has worked with NEOPAY since 2022 to enable QR-based UPI payments across NEOPAY’s merchant network in the UAE. The Burj Khalifa integration extends that relationship to e-commerce, allowing UPI payments while users book experiences online.

For Indian travellers, the immediate use case is travel planning: payment can be made before the trip rather than at a physical location in the UAE. The partnership also broadens the settings in which UPI can be used abroad, from merchant QR codes to online attraction bookings.

Ritesh Shukla, Managing Director and CEO of NPCI International, said the initiative helps travellers use “a payment method they know and trust” while planning their visit, including before arriving in the UAE.

What NEOPAY and Emaar Entertainment said

NEOPAY CEO Vibhor Mundhada described the rollout as a milestone for digital commerce between India and the UAE. He said NEOPAY had become the first company in the GCC to enable UPI acceptance for e-commerce transactions.

An official spokesperson for Emaar Entertainment said India is “one of our most important international markets” and that UPI makes “the customer journey simpler” for Indian guests.

The announcement is part of NPCI International’s broader effort to expand UPI’s overseas acceptance through partnerships with banks, payment providers and merchants across multiple countries. The source does not provide transaction-volume data or details on the next UAE merchants to add online UPI payments.
