UAE AI Startup Stellaria Raises $6.8M Seed Round

UAE-based AI and geospatial intelligence startup Stellaria has raised $6.8 million (AED 25 million) in a seed round from a group of angel investors. The round values the company at $114.4 million (AED 420 million).

Stellaria, formerly known as Farmin, is building an AI-powered operating system for geospatial intelligence. Its platform transforms satellite imagery and other geospatial data into actionable insights through a unified interface.

The company's technology spans satellite imagery analytics, super-resolution, automated target recognition, maritime and port intelligence, satellite-derived bathymetry, and environmental monitoring, all accessible through its proprietary Stella platform.

Founded by Dr. Ali AlHammadi, Stellaria is an alumnus of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Innovation Fund's Innovation Accelerator Programme.

What the round unlocks

The fresh capital will fund continued development of Stellaria's AI and geospatial technologies, expansion of its technical team, and deployment across the UAE and international markets.

Applications span government, defence, maritime and ports, infrastructure, and environmental monitoring sectors where demand for satellite-derived intelligence is growing fast, and where Gulf-based providers capable of serving sensitive use cases carry a distinct advantage.

Stellaria's ambitions are explicit: build globally competitive space and AI technology from the UAE, and in doing so, reinforce the country's positioning as a hub for advanced innovation. A $114.4 million seed valuation signals investor conviction that the thesis has real weight.

"This funding marks an important milestone in Stellaria's journey and reflects the confidence our investors have placed in our technology and the team behind it," said Dr. AlHammadi.
"We have grown from a UAE startup into a company building an AI operating system for geospatial intelligence, bringing together satellite data, AI and advanced analytics within a unified platform.
This next phase will allow us to invest further in our technology, strengthen our team and build scalable products that can compete internationally. Our ambition is to build globally relevant space and AI technology from the UAE and contribute to the country's growing position as a hub for advanced innovation."
