ThinkMetal raises Rs 27 crore from IAN Alpha Fund

Advanced materials and manufacturing startup ThinkMetal has raised Rs 27 crore in a funding round led by IAN Alpha Fund, with participation from 3i Partners and existing investors.

Founded by Sabyasachi Ghosh and Arushi Sharma, ThinkMetal is developing indigenous technologies for precision metal manufacturing.

Its platform combines advanced materials, manufacturing processes and industrial systems to reduce production time and dependence on imported technologies.

The company’s current commercial offering is SistemT1, a metal additive manufacturing system designed to produce precision metal components.

The system uses ThinkMetal’s proprietary FuseX metal filament technology.

ThinkMetal claims its technology can manufacture high-value precision metal parts up to 10 times faster and at half the cost of conventional methods.
