The Fintech Heist of How Chipax Cracked the Code for SMBs

Chipax, founded by four engineers, is on a mission to simplify SMB finances in Latin America. By automating payments and invoices, they’re giving businesses the tools to master their cash flow and stay ahead in the money market.

  • Chipax automates payments and invoices, empowering Latin American SMBs to manage their finances effortlessly.
  • Inspired by saving a business from bankruptcy, the founders created it to simplify financial management.
  • Now in Mexico and Chile, Chipax helps over 1,100 businesses streamline finances and focus on growth.

In the shadowy corners of the business world, where cash flows and invoices are shuffled like poker cards, there’s a high-stakes game—the money market.

A fintech market where small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) often find themselves cornered, struggling to keep track of payments, invoices, and reconciliations.

For many, it feels like a never-ending heist where they’re the ones getting robbed—robbed of time, resources, and sometimes even their business.

The Heist Begins

Chipax is a crew of four brilliant engineers turned financial detectives: Antonio Correa, François Gueneau de Mussy, Joaquín Brenner (Aug 2015- May 2023), and Felipe Urzúa.

Their mission? To pull off the ultimate heist—not by taking, but by giving back control to the SMBs of Latin America.

Their tools? Not guns or getaway cars, but sophisticated software designed to make the chaos of managing finances disappear.

Cracking the Code

The story began in 2015 when Antonio, known among his peers as Toni, took on the daunting task of saving Medularis, a company teetering on the brink of bankruptcy.

Like any good detective, Toni combed through endless spreadsheets, uncovered hidden debts, and tightened the screws on financial management. By the time he was done, Medularis was back in the black.

It was then that Toni had his eureka moment: businesses shouldn’t be bleeding time and money to keep their finances straight.

With this realization, Toni recruited his cousin and operations whiz Joaquín, tech mastermind François, and business strategist Felipe.

Together, they crafted Chipax, a fintech tool that handles all payments, invoices, and reconciliations, providing real-time accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) for SMBs.

The Legacy of Chipax

As of today, Chipax is thriving in Mexico and Chile, helping over 1,100 businesses take control of their finances.

They’ve amassed a lot in annual recurring revenue (ARR), proving that their heist to save SMBs from financial chaos is not just a pipe dream but a reality.

It also ensures that SMBs can focus on what they do best: growing their business. It’s the software equivalent of a seasoned detective who knows every trick in the book, helping businesses stay ahead of the game.

Chipax took the messy, chaotic world of SMB finances and turned it into a streamlined, efficient process that any business can master.
