Solinas Integrity raises $5.5M for water robotics expansion

Chennai-based deeptech startup Solinas Integrity has raised $5.5 million in a Series A1 round co-led by Mela Ventures and Hero Enterprise Family Office. Luthra Group joined the round, alongside follow-on investments from existing backers SVL SME Fund (managed by SBI Ventures), Rainmatter Capital, and 8X Ventures Fund I. Valuation was not disclosed.

The IIT Madras-incubated company, founded in 2018 by Divanshu Kumar and Moinak Banerjee, builds robotics and AI-powered systems for underground water and sanitation infrastructure.

Its product line includes Endobot for pipeline inspection, HomoSEP for mechanised sewer and septic tank cleaning, and SWASTH AI, an infrastructure intelligence platform that turns inspection data into asset mapping and predictive analytics.

The company reports deployments across more than 30 cities in 15 Indian states, with Dubai Municipality already among its users. Solinas also plans to expand into adjacent sectors — specifically oil and gas and defence — where its inspection robotics can address critical infrastructure needs.

Funding rounds and cross-border capital moves, one email, five minutes.

For international partners and investors, Solinas sits at the intersection of two under-served, high-urgency markets: aging water infrastructure in need of non-invasive diagnostics, and sanitation labour that is dangerous, manual, and increasingly regulated.

A robotics platform that inspects, cleans, digitises, and manages the lifecycle of underground networks — and that already has municipal reference customers on both sides of the India–Gulf corridor — addresses a concrete procurement pipeline, not a hypothetical one.

The fresh funding is earmarked for expanding manufacturing capacity, accelerating product development, strengthening software infrastructure, and supporting working capital.

The company also intends to use the capital to grow its international presence, specifically in the Middle East and Southeast Asia, while developing new robotics solutions for water, sanitation, industrial, and defence applications.
