Shiprocket Quick Commerce Strategy: What Changed in Q1 FY27

Shiprocket used its first post-listing earnings call to outline a strategic shift toward quick commerce, omnichannel services and AI products. In Q1 FY27, covering April to June 2026, its emerging business contributed 30% of total revenue and grew 70% year on year to Rs 180.4 crore.

Omnichannel solutions grew 92% year on year, driven largely by quick commerce adoption among direct-to-consumer brands and offline retailers. Shiprocket also said quick commerce slot booking is now fully automated through Shiprocket and Shiprocket Quick, replacing manual coordination through emails and spreadsheets.

The company launched four AI-powered tools this quarter: Quikpay, Steal Deal, AI Assist and an AI Ads Platform.

What Shiprocket does

Shiprocket provides e-commerce logistics and related tools for merchants. Its emerging business includes marketing, checkout, fintech, cross-border and omnichannel platforms, including quick delivery and B2B or bulk cargo shipping.

For quick commerce, the system assigns trucks, books delivery slots and coordinates deliveries to dark stores. Its AI products target checkout abandonment, cart value, customer support and ad-creative production.

Shiprocket’s quick commerce strategy

Shiprocket’s platform integrates 250+ ecosystem partners, including 42 courier partners, rather than owning delivery fleets or fulfilment centres. Its cross-border business has plans to open new lanes to the Middle East, Australia and Canada.

Management view

“We found that merchants have issues with faster delivery. We built the omnichannel business a few years ago, which is basically allowing merchants to do appointment-based deliveries into quick commerce outfits. It’s allowing merchants to be able to do hyperlocal deliveries as well from their retail stores,” Saahil Goel, MD and CEO of Shiprocket, said.
