Sensory Intelligence: How Nikhil Gandhi Is Building VYYB AI

VYYB AI is beginning with VYYB SONIC, a commercial background music offering developed by its technology partner, Tringbox AI. Founder and CEO Nikhil Gandhi said the company plans to extend its approach to intelligent climate optimisation and contextual scenting through VYYB ATMOS and VYYB AURA, both currently in development.

Sensory intelligence is VYYB AI’s starting point

Gandhi has spent 26 years working with companies such as TikTok, Disney and MX Player. He is applying that experience in media, technology and consumer engagement to commercial spaces through VYYB AI, which is headquartered at the DIFC Dubai AI Campus.

The company describes sensory intelligence as using context to manage how a space sounds, feels and smells. VYYB SONIC uses contextual information, including the type of venue, time of day and environmental conditions, to guide music selection and management.

“We are starting with VYYB SONIC for background music, with plans to extend the same contextual approach to climate and scent over time,” Gandhi said.

VYYB SONIC is designed to make music more responsive to a brand and its setting, rather than rely on a fixed playlist that requires someone to decide when the music should change. Gandhi said the system is designed to balance consistency across multiple locations with the specific needs of individual venues, such as a flagship retail store and a smaller outlet.

“The challenge is translating technology into a service that businesses can depend on,” Gandhi said. Music needs to suit the brand, the venue and the moment, while solutions must work within existing operations without creating unnecessary complexity.

VYYB is at an early stage, with Gandhi focused on customer relationships, demonstrations and carefully planned pilots around clearly defined business needs. The company’s immediate focus is the UAE and the wider GCC region, while it is also targeting opportunities across the broader Middle East, Europe and Southeast Asia.

“VYYB is made in the UAE and built for the world,” Gandhi said.
