Seattle-based Brinc Drones, founded by 25-year-old Blake Resnick, has announced a $75 million funding round led by Index Ventures.
The investment brings Brinc’s total funding to $157.2 million, marking an “up-round” compared to its previous Series B in 2022. While the startup’s valuation remains undisclosed, Bloomberg reported it was valued at $300 million in 2023.
Brinc specializes in developing drones for police and public safety agencies, addressing critical needs in emergency response. Its innovative systems include features like glass-breaking attachments and real-time aerial intelligence capabilities.
The company’s flagship drones, Lemur 2 and Responder, are designed to assist first responders during crises such as mass shootings or natural disasters.
This funding also establishes a strategic alliance with Motorola Solutions, integrating Brinc drones into Motorola’s emergency call management systems.

Resnick, who founded Brinc in 2017 after interning at Chinese drone giant DJI, aims to challenge the dominance of Chinese players in the market.
With over 600 public safety agencies already using its drones, Brinc plans to scale manufacturing and advance research for next-generation technologies.
As competition intensifies with U.S. startups like Flock Safety and Skydio, Resnick remains optimistic about growth opportunities in this evolving sector.
