Saudi proptech Ghanem raises $1.5m pre-seed extension

Saudi Arabia-based proptech startup Ghanem has raised an additional $1.5 million in a pre-seed extension.
The funding came from real estate companies and strategic angel investors, bringing the pre-seed round total to $8.6 million.
The earlier $7.1 million financing included participation from Al-Romaih Group. Waad VC has also invested in the company.
Founded in 2025 by Saleh Waheed Al-Ghamdi and Amr Essam, Ghanem operates a fractional real estate ownership platform.
It allows individuals and institutions to invest in income-generating properties in Saudi Arabia, with minimum investments starting at SAR 1,000, depending on the opportunity.
Ghanem has executed several real estate investment transactions, issued digital ownership deeds to 580 individuals for its first income-generating real estate investment opportunity, and started distributing rental income to investors without payment disruptions.

Ghanem has activated a digital integration with Saudi Arabia's Real Estate Registry. This enables fractional ownership interests to be registered and deeds to be issued in investors' names.
The company is also operating within the regulatory sandbox of the Real Estate General Authority, where its fractional ownership model is being tested under regulatory supervision.
The additional funding will support product development, diversification of property investment opportunities and strategic partnerships.
"We are working to make property ownership more accessible through a clear digital experience and ownership documented in the investor’s name,"
said Saleh Waheed Al-Ghamdi, CEO and Co-Founder of Ghanem.
Al-Ghamdi added,
"This pre-seed extension provides important support for the next stage of our journey."
