Sanyark Space Raises $2M Pre-Seed for NAV-COM Satellites

Sanyark Space has raised $2 million in a pre-seed funding round led by Avaana and AUM Ventures. Avaana invested $1.5 million, and AUM Ventures put in $500,000.
The company is building a software-defined low Earth orbit satellite constellation that combines precision navigation and secure IoT communication on a single platform.
Its Navigation-Communication system is being developed for defence and commercial applications, and positions the startup at the intersection of deeptech, space technology, and strategic infrastructure.
Sanyark was co-founded by former ISRO scientist Akhileshwar Reddy and Raghava Kundrapu, a student from Masters’ Union’s third cohort. The funding will support development of the NAV-COM system and the broader objective of building strategic space infrastructure for India.

The startup aims to integrate capabilities typically delivered by separate, dedicated constellations. Packing navigation and communication into the same LEO infrastructure creates a dual-use asset.
For global buyers and partners watching India’s space economy, Sanyark represents the kind of capital-efficient, application-specific infrastructure play that can serve defence customers while scaling commercial IoT use cases across the corridor.
The terms of the deal, including Sanyark's valuation, were not disclosed.
