RentoMojo IPO Opens Sept 9, Files RHP to Raise ₹150 Cr Fresh Issue

Months after receiving the markets regulator’s nod for its IPO, furniture and appliance rental startup RentoMojo has filed its red herring prospectus (RHP) with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI).

As per the RHP, the startup plans to raise ₹150 Cr via a fresh issue of shares. However, RentoMojo has trimmed the size of the offer for sale (OFS) component to up to 2.7 Cr shares, down from 2.84 Cr shares proposed in its draft red herring prospectus (DRHP).

Investors including Accel, Chiratae Ventures, Edelweiss Mutual Fund, and GMO Venture plan to sell shares through the OFS. Cofounder Geetansh Bamania will also offload up to 8.5 Lakh shares as part of the issue.

The IPO will now open for subscription on Wednesday (September 9) and close on Friday (September 11). Anchor bidding will take place on September 8 (Tuesday).

What RentoMojo Does

Founded in 2014 by Geetansh Bamania and Ajay Nain, RentoMojo operates a platform for subscription-based rental of furniture, appliances and home essentials. It claims to operate 20 warehouses and 82 offline stores across 29 cities. It had a portfolio of 8.5 Lakh products across furniture and appliances at the end of March 2026 and catered to 2.5 Lakh active users in FY26.

Use of Proceeds and Financials

Around ₹70 Cr from the fresh issue will be utilised to repay or prepay certain borrowings, while ₹42.5 Cr will be used for paying the rental or licence fees for its offline stores and warehouses. The remaining capital will be deployed for general corporate purposes.

RentoMojo’s restated profit after tax (PAT) zoomed nearly 142% to ₹104.2 Cr in FY26, aided by a tax credit of ₹36.6 Cr, as against ₹43.1 Cr in the year ago fiscal. Meanwhile, operating revenue also soared 45.5% to ₹387 Cr in the fiscal under review compared to ₹266 Cr in FY25.

This comes five months after the rental platform first filed its DRHP with SEBI for an IPO, which then consisted of a fresh issue of shares worth up to ₹150 Cr and an OFS of up to 2.84 Cr shares. It then received SEBI’s nod to float its public issue in July this year.
