Rently secures $12M credit facility from January Capital

Singapore-based proptech startup Rently has secured a $12 million growth credit facility from January Capital, a technology investment firm focused on Asia Pacific.
January Capital described it as flexible, non-dilutive credit.
The facility will fund rental transaction financing, customer acquisition and expansion across Singapore, Hong Kong and the UAE, as well as new markets. Rently is also preparing to raise $10 million to $15 million in Series A equity to develop new products and enter additional markets from 2027. It previously raised $3 million in a Pre-Series A round from investors including Hustle Fund, 5I Ventures, Woh Hup, Orvel, Orange Bloom and Feedback Ventures.
Rently runs a rental payments platform that lets tenants pay rent in flexible instalments, earn rewards and manage payment schedules. The founders are Dominic Schacher, Tarik Stafford, Siebren Khamphorst and Emeric Martin.
In the UAE, its Rent Now Pay Later service lets tenants pay rent monthly while landlords receive scheduled payouts. It works with real estate agencies such as White & Co, as well as co-living firms and property managers in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

The company says it has handled more than AED 100 million in rental contracts in the UAE, where transaction volume has grown more than fivefold year on year. Across its three markets it reports more than $50 million in annualised rental volume and more than 2,400 tenants.
Many UAE residents earn a monthly salary but still pay up to a full year of rent upfront in one to four cheques. Dubai registered almost 1.2 million tenancy contracts in 2025.
In June 2026, the Dubai Land Department launched Flexi Rent, which lets tenants pay rent monthly.
CEO Shiv Mahajan said: "Rent is the biggest payment most people make and still the least flexible. Our ambition is to triple the number of tenants we serve over the next 12 months and become the leading rental payments platform in every market we operate in. This facility gives us the capital to serve more tenants as we scale, while keeping our equity focused on building new products, investing in technology and expanding into new markets."
