Qualifyze, a Frankfurt-based startup, has raised $54 million in a Series B round to enhance pharmaceutical supply chains. Led by Insight Partners, with participation from HV Capital, HarbourVest Partners, H14, and Cherry Ventures, this round brings Qualifyze's total funding to $84 million.

Although its current valuation was not disclosed, CEO and founder Dr. David Schneider confirmed it is “significantly higher” than the $100 million post-money valuation from its previous round.

Qualifyze is transforming the pharmaceutical industry’s fragmented supply chain by leveraging a network of quality assurance experts and a comprehensive supplier database.

Schneider explained the challenge facing the industry, stating, “Officially, GMP stands for ‘Good Manufacturing Practices,’ but people joke that it actually stands for ‘Give Me Paper’ because everything is paper-based in the pharma industry.”

The company works with 250 auditors and tracks 3,000 suppliers to ensure compliance with GxP, ESG, ISO, and other standards. Its tech-first approach, with integrated AI and analytics, has attracted major pharmaceutical clients like Merck, DSM, Cipla, and Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories.

Insight Partners’ managing director, Ryan Hinkle, highlighted future growth opportunities:

“We see opportunity for Qualifyze to deepen its offering for the life sciences by building on top of the proprietary data they have collected over years.”

With plans to expand in the U.S., Qualifyze is well-positioned to address supply chain inefficiencies in the $1.15 trillion pharmaceutical industry.
