Prism FY26 net profit soars 4X to Rs 994 crore on North America growth

IPO-bound Prism, the parent entity of OYO, closed fiscal 2026 with net profit surging more than 4X to Rs 994 crore, compared with Rs 245 crore a year before.

However, the figure included a deferred tax credit of Rs 678 crore. Excluding this, Prism would have logged a profit of Rs 316 crore. The company filed its updated draft red herring prospectus for an IPO in June and plans to raise Rs 6,650 crore through a fresh issue of equity shares.

Consolidated revenue from operations rose 50% year-on-year to Rs 9,358 crore, while EBITDA more than doubled to Rs 259 crore. The growth was driven by higher business volumes, a growing contribution from premium properties and company-serviced hotels, operating leverage across markets and the first full year of contribution from the US-based motel chain G6 Hospitality that Prism acquired in 2024.

G6 Hospitality

G6 generated gross booking value of Rs 1,4107 crore during the year, compared with Rs 3,529 crore in FY25, and added 70 new storefronts, taking the total count to 1,571.

During the financial year 2025-26, Prism clocked gross booking value of Rs 30,683 crore, marking an 89% increase from Rs 16,279 crore a year ago. Prism, which started as a budget hotel aggregator in India, now generates over 80% of its revenue from global operations.

Prism completed the integration of G6's technology stack into its unified platform within a year, replacing fragmented legacy franchise systems with a common technology backbone. It deployed AI-led pricing and service tools at the individual-property level and centralised owner engagement from India. Usage of the G6 app has doubled since the acquisition.

Prism’s AI push

In its FY26 annual report, Prism said it is building an AI agent called GM Agent that will run a hotel’s daily operations end-to-end, executing tasks such as reconciliation, vendor renewals, occupancy calls and review action plans “without a human triggering each step”.

“This is the shift from AI that assists hotel operations to AI that runs them,” the company said.

The company launched CheckIn, a dedicated app for its premium brands, in September 2025. Approximately 67% of room nights used during the year came through non-commissionable channels, supported by the OYO app.
