Primerry raises Rs 7.1 crore pre-seed for paediatric care

Paediatric healthcare brand Primerry has raised Rs 7.1 crore (around $760,000) in a pre-seed round.
The round saw participation from Ashish Kacholia and Lashit Sanghvi, along with angel investors Mohit Sadaani, Hitesh Dhingra, Ajay Mehra and Samir Palod, and select family offices.
Founded by Rushabh Nandu and Nihar Parekh, Primerry plans to roll out a full range of eight stock-keeping units (SKUs), priced between Rs 499 and Rs 1,499, through its own D2C platform. A quick-commerce rollout is planned within the first year.

The company has also launched PocDoc, a customisable carry case designed to hold Primerry essentials. It will build an offline presence via pharmacies, paediatric clinics and mom-and-baby specialty stores, starting with tier I cities and metros.
Primerry plans to use the fresh funds to strengthen its R&D pipeline, build its founding team, and expand distribution across key markets in India.
