Pixxel raises $100M in India's largest spacetech funding round

Bengaluru-based satellite imaging startup Pixxel has raised $100 million (around Rs 945 crore) in what stands as the largest funding round in India's spacetech sector to date.
The round was co-led by Temasek, the Singapore sovereign wealth fund, and UK-based space investor Seraphim. Participating investors include Indian asset manager 360 One Asset, Seoul-based IMM Investment, and existing backers Radical Ventures and GrowX Ventures.
Pixxel builds and operates hyperspectral imaging satellites, a class of earth-observation technology that captures data across hundreds of narrow spectral bands, far beyond what conventional imaging satellites see.

The resulting datasets let governments and enterprises monitor crop health, track pipeline leaks, detect mineral deposits, and assess climate-related shifts with precision that visible-light imagery cannot match.
The deal size matters beyond the headline number. For global limited partners and strategic acquirers watching India's space economy, a $100-million growth cheque co-led by a sovereign fund and a specialist space investor is a signal that the country's private spacetech capabilities are transitioning from early-stage experiments to capital-intensive scale plays.
The corridor angle- Temasek anchoring from Singapore, IMM from Seoul also points to Asia-originated deep-tech capital flows that increasingly route through India's commercial space stack. Terms of the round, including Pixxel's post-money valuation, were not disclosed.
