Ottonomy, a developer of AI-powered autonomous delivery robots, has raised approximately Rs 40.6 crore ($4.2 million) in a post-seed funding round. Japan-based venture capital firm Enrission India Capital participated in the round.

The fresh capital will support Ottonomy’s global expansion across healthcare and industrial automation, where demand for autonomous logistics solutions is increasing amid workforce shortages, the company said.

Founded by Ritukar Vijay, Ottonomy develops AI-powered autonomous delivery robots designed to operate across indoor and outdoor environments. Its flagship product, Ottobot, uses the company’s proprietary Contextual AI technology to enable autonomous deliveries across complex facilities with minimal human intervention.

The robots are designed to help hospitals and enterprises automate the transportation of medicines, medical equipment, supplies and other materials. In healthcare facilities, this could help reduce the time medical professionals spend on logistical tasks and allow them to focus more on patient care.

With the latest investment, Ottonomy plans to strengthen its presence in global markets and expand the deployment of its autonomous delivery solutions across healthcare and industrial facilities.

Enrission India Capital is a Japan-based venture capital firm that invests in early-stage Indian startups, primarily from Seed to Series B. The firm focuses on sectors such as consumer, logistics, climate-tech and enterprise technology. It also works with its portfolio companies to explore international expansion opportunities, particularly in Japan. Its portfolio includes GoDesi, Pico Xpress, Uravu Labs, StackBox and Hexalog.

In India, autonomous delivery robotics is an emerging segment, with startups exploring applications in last-mile logistics, intra-campus transportation and material movement across healthcare, manufacturing, retail and warehousing. Other players in the broader autonomous delivery and logistics ecosystem include Airbound, which raised $37 million in a Series A round in August 2026 to scale its autonomous delivery drone technology, and Ati Motors, which raised $20 million in a Series B round in January 2025 to expand its AI-powered autonomous mobile robots for industrial material movement.

Meanwhile, Anscer Robotics raised approximately Rs 45 crore in a Series A round in 2026 to scale its autonomous mobile robots and warehouse automation solutions.
