Nua raises $50M Series C funding led by Peak XV, Filter Capital

Women's wellness brand Nua has raised $50 million in its Series C funding round, led by Peak XV Partners and Filter Capital.

Existing investors Mirabilis Investment Trust and Footpath Ventures also participated. The round includes both primary capital and a secondary component, giving partial exits to Kae Capital, Lightbox VC, and existing angel investors.

The Mumbai-based company has raised around $71.5 million so far, including a $4 million pre-Series C round led by Mirabilis Investment Trust in February 2025.

What Nua does

Founded in 2017 by Ravi Ramachandran, Nua offers products across period care, maternity care, and everyday intimate wellness. The company says it now reaches more than 3 million women and girls every month.

Beyond physical products, Nua has offerings including the Nua Period Tracker App and SecretKeeper chat. It claims to have scaled its annualised revenue run rate from Rs 100 crore to Rs 500 crore in the past 24 months while remaining profitable.

Nua's $50 million round makes it one of India's largest women's hygiene startup deals, surpassing Pee Safe's $32 Mn round in January this year. Peak XV notes Nua has emerged as the second-largest online player in the women's wellness category. Nua competes with Whisper, Stayfree, and Sofy, among others.

The fresh capital will go toward brand building, expanding distribution and reach, and investing in R&D and new product development, the company said. Nua plans to deepen its presence across women's wellness and build a broader portfolio of products and digital services.
