NOXI: Arabic AI Presentation Platform Reaches 2,000 Users

NOXI’s Arabic version and user growth

NOXI, a free AI presentation generator built in Abu Dhabi, has attracted more than 2,000 users with zero help from paid advertising. By October, Arabic accounted for close to 40% of new presentations, while Saudi Arabia and the UAE accounted for a large share of the platform’s audience.

NOXI introduced its Arabic version in the first half of 2026, with layouts and typography designed for right-to-left text. Sign-ups increased 212% from August to September, and October’s daily sign-up rate rose to more than twice September’s level.

Aidar Akmaev and NOXI

Product designer Aidar Akmaev began building NOXI in 2025 after finding that AI-generated presentations required substantial editing before they could be presented at a professional meeting. He developed the platform as a one-man team while working full-time as a senior product designer at VentureOne, the commercialization arm of the Advanced Technology Research Council.

Drawing on nearly a decade of design experience, Akmaev built NOXI to generate presentations from a prompt or uploaded PDF, PowerPoint, Word or Excel file. The platform adds research citations directly to slides, offers options including 12 chart types, lets users edit elements manually or through an AI assistant, and exports presentations as editable PowerPoint or PDF files.

In the founder’s words

“People need a deck they can actually present, not another draft,” Akmaev says. “I built it for the people I used to make decks for: a manager reporting to leadership, a founder facing investors, a teacher without a design team.”

“It changed my priorities. Arabic isn’t an extra language in the product anymore,” he says. Akmaev is working on Arabic and English in the same sentence, where “the layout has to” handle names, numbers and terms that translation alone cannot fix.

Future commercial model

While revenue is not his immediate priority, Akmaev expects NOXI’s future commercial model to focus on organizations seeking the platform for their teams. He expects future customers to include companies seeking the platform in their own brand for their teams and government bodies that need their data kept inside the UAE.
