Nexedge Capital raises $20M maiden funding from Mirae, Elev8

Nexedge Capital, the wealth-management and multi-family office firm led by former 360 ONE executive Anirudha Taparia, has raised $20 million in its maiden funding round. The investment was led by Mirae Asset Venture Investment and Elev8 Venture Partners.

Taparia, the founder and chief executive officer (CEO) of the firm, told Mint, “The investment round values Nexedge Capital at about close to a quarter of a billion dollars (around $250 million).”

Launched in February 2025, Nexedge has been among the fastest-growing wealth-management platforms, scaling to more than $3 billion in assets under management across over 1,300 clients within 18 months. It has onboarded more than 95 senior bankers.

The fresh capital will be used to strengthen the firm's technology platform, expand its senior banker network, and extend its footprint across India, including tier-2 and tier-3 cities. Nexedge also plans to build out complementary offerings, including a dedicated NRI proposition and a non-bank lending business.

“We started building in the north and eastern regions, which also included some tier 2 towns,” Taparia said. The firm is currently in 11-12 cities and plans to add 10 locations such as Indore, Bhubaneswar, and Raipur by the end of this year.

At Nexedge, Taparia is joined by co-founders Sidhartha Shaw, Vijeeta Sharma, and Pankaj Walia, along with a cohort of 15 founding partners averaging more than 20 years across Citibank, Kotak Wealth, 360 One, and Standard Chartered, among others.

An ownership model

Over 150 senior leaders have invested their own capital to become owners, not just employees. “What convinced us to back Nexedge is its ownership model,” said Mirae Asset CEO Puneet Kumar. “When advisors have their own capital at stake, incentives are structurally tied to client outcomes, not growth targets alone.”

Navin Honagudi, managing partner at Elev8 Venture Partners, said, “India's HNI (high net worth individuals) and UHNI (ultra high net worth individuals) wealth pool is at the start of a multi-decade compounding cycle.” He added, “Nexedge stands out for its structural clarity, the depth of its founding team, and its ability to build client trust at a pace few platforms in this space have matched.”

Nexedge aims to manage the entirety of a family's balance sheet rather than only its investible surplus.
