NABVENTURES Fund II first close ₹450 Cr targets ₹1,500 Cr

NABVENTURES, the venture capital arm of the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), has announced the first close of its second fund at ₹450 Cr.
The firm is targeting a corpus of ₹1,500 Cr, which includes a greenshoe option. NABARD is the anchor investor in the fund.
The fund will invest in early to growth-stage agritech startups using tech to address challenges across the agricultural value chain and rural markets.
Sectors in scope include agritech, food and agribusiness, rural fintech, climate-smart solutions, and supply chain and logistics, among other businesses focused on rural transformation.

NABARD chairman Dr Shaji Krishnan V said the fund will also focus on businesses working on sustainability, climate resilience, financial inclusion and livelihood creation.
Agritech startups raised $202 Mn across 36 deals in 2025, down nearly 25% from $269 Mn in 2024 and sharply below the $728 Mn and $840 Mn raised in 2021 and 2022, respectively.
NABVENTURES was incorporated on April 23, 2018, as a wholly owned subsidiary of NABARD. Its portfolio includes 23 startups, among them Unnati, Eggoz, Beyond Snack and Jai Kisan.
The firm backs startups through NABVENTURES Fund I, Fund II and AgriSURE. Its portfolio also includes Aquapulse, an aquaculture-focused agritech startup that raised ₹25 Cr in an ongoing Series A round led by NABVENTURES and KisaanSay through its AgriSURE Fund earlier this year.
