MiCoB raises Rs 30 crore on Adani's Vande Bharatam
Vande Bharatam, Gautam Adani's nationwide hunt for grassroots innovation, closed its largest deal of the season on 14 September. MiCoB, a Gujarat-based construction-technology startup, secured a Rs 30 crore commitment on Episode 7 from a panel of marquee investors and operators.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed beyond the total commitment figure. Valuation was not stated.
The investment was jointly offered by Kalyan Krishnamurthy, CEO of Flipkart, and Ashutosh Valani, Co-Founder of RENÉE Cosmetics. Separately, Karan Adani, Managing Director of Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd, offered a pathway for MiCoB's technology to be deployed across Adani Group infrastructure, a commercial signal as significant as the cheque.

Manufacturing-led construction
MiCoB has built a full-stack Digital Construction Manufacturing platform that moves far beyond robotic 3D printing. The system integrates proprietary printable concrete, automated batching, intelligent mixing and pumping, controlled extrusion, and robotic deposition into one coordinated manufacturing workflow.
The result is construction treated as a controlled process, faster, less wasteful, and repeatably precise, with far less dependency on manual site execution and conventional formwork. The platform is already deployed across defence, infrastructure, and civil projects, including bunkers, retaining structures, modular buildings, hospitality structures, and industrial components.

For global infrastructure investors and construction groups watching India, MiCoB's Vande Bharatam moment signals that digital manufacturing, not just digital design, is arriving on Indian job sites. A startup converting construction into a factory-floor discipline, with a bridge into one of the country's largest infrastructure portfolios, becomes a partner of interest far beyond Gujarat.
Speaking on the commitment, Kalyan Krishnamurthy told Vande Bharatam, "What convinced us wasn't just the technology; it was seeing MiCoB's platform already deployed and working across defence, infrastructure and industrial sites. That's rare at this stage, and it's why we moved quickly to back them."
