Medulance raises $2.5M Series A-2 for tech-enabled ambulance network

Medulance has raised Rs 24 crore, or about $2.5 million, in a Series A-2 funding round to expand its emergency healthcare network across India. The round included investment from Auxano Capital, Alkemi, Equentis and a group of angel investors.

Connecting emergency care at scale

Founded by Pranav Bajaj and Ravjot Singh Arora, Medulance provides tech-enabled ambulance and pre-hospital emergency services to individuals, hospitals, businesses and government organisations.

Its network includes more than 15,000 ambulances across more than 500 cities, while its services cover more than eight million people and handle about 5,000 emergency calls a day.

The startup combines ambulance operations with technology-led dispatch, fleet-management systems, command centres and real-time clinical connectivity. It has also developed 5G-enabled ambulances designed to transmit patient data to hospital dashboards during transit, support camera-based visual assessment and allow medical teams to monitor patients before they reach hospital.

Medulance reports an average response time of below 11 minutes and fleet uptime of 95%. It also serves more than 110 corporate and hospital clients.

Medulance said the funding will be used to expand its emergency response infrastructure across India, strengthen its hospital and enterprise businesses, and invest further in its technology platform and connected ambulance services.

The investment will also be used to deepen its presence in existing markets, expand into new cities and further develop its technology-led emergency healthcare infrastructure.

Emergency healthcare infrastructure

India's ambulance services market was valued at $5.5 billion in 2025 and is forecast to reach $9.8 billion by 2034, according to research firm IMARC Group, which expects an average annual growth rate of 6.33% between 2026 and 2034.

Medulance said India's healthcare infrastructure had expanded significantly, but the emergency response system connecting patients with healthcare providers remained fragmented. It identified trained medical response, technology-enabled dispatch, real-time clinical information and stronger hospital coordination as key to improving emergency care.

Pranav Bajaj, co-founder and CEO of Medulance, said, “Emergency healthcare is ultimately about ensuring that help is available when it matters the most.” He said the opportunity was to make the company's infrastructure “more connected, more reliable and increasingly technology-led”.
Brijesh Damodaran, partner at Auxano Capital, said Medulance had demonstrated that emergency healthcare could be developed as a “scalable, technology-led business” while addressing a critical infrastructure gap.

Medulance previously raised $3 million in a Series A funding round led by Alkemi Growth Capital in 2024.
