Matiks raises $10M Pre-Series A led by General Catalyst

Bengaluru-based social gaming startup Matiks has raised $10 million in a Pre-Series A round led by General Catalyst. Ronnie Screwvala joined the round, alongside existing investors Info Edge Ventures, Tanglin Venture Partners and Untitled Ventures.
The fresh capital will go toward expanding its international presence, developing new games and social experiences, and launching an AI-powered game creation platform. That platform is meant to let users build and publish games without coding.
Matiks was founded in 2024 by Sudhanshu Bhatia, Sushant and Mohan. It began as a mental maths game and has since grown into a social gaming platform with games across mathematics, memory, logic and puzzles.
Users can compete against friends, take part in daily challenges and track their progress.
The company has also launched SNAC, an endless feed of single-player puzzles. According to Matiks, the feed has contributed to longer user sessions.

The company also reports early traction in Japan, the US and South Korea. It plans to focus first on the US market before moving into other major international markets. It will also invest in engineering, artificial intelligence, product development, game design and growth.
The company is also developing an AI-powered game creation engine that will enable users to create, publish and share their own brain games across multiple formats.
In August 2025, Matiks raised $3.1 million in a Pre-Series A round led by Tanglin Venture Partners, with participation from Info Edge Ventures and angel investors including boAt co-founder Aman Gupta and Unacademy co-founders Gaurav Munjal and Roman Saini.
