Lenskart raises AjnaLens stake to 9% with ₹8 Cr infusion

Lenskart has invested another ₹8 Cr in Dimension NXG, the parent company of extended reality startup AjnaLens, raising its stake to 9.01%.
The transaction, disclosed in a regulatory filing, follows two earlier purchases this year — 0.68% in February and 1.69% in July. Across the three deals, Lenskart’s holding has increased by 4.17 percentage points from 4.84%, bringing its cumulative investment in the startup to ₹18.5 Cr.
Lenskart said the investment is aimed at strengthening its strategic association with the XR, AI and smart wearable technology ecosystem.

What AjnaLens does
Founded in 2014, AjnaLens builds hardware and software solutions using XR technology, with applications spanning defence, enterprises and learning solutions. The startup reported ₹10.4 Cr in turnover for FY26.
Lenskart’s smart eyewear push
Lenskart has launched Phonic audio glasses, partnered with Qualcomm for its smart-glasses technology stack, and has an upcoming AI-powered smart glasses product.
Lenskart said its B by Lenskart smart glasses crossed 30,000 users on the waitlist at the end of FY26. Globally, smart-glass shipments jumped more than 1,000% in 2025, according to IDC, despite a slowdown in smartwatches and hearables.
