Lendo Quantic $200 million SME financing programme Saudi Arabia

Saudi fintech Lendo has partnered with Austria-based Quantic Financial Solutions on an institutional capital programme of up to SAR750 million ($200 million) to finance small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Saudi Arabia. The programme was announced at Money20/20 Middle East in Riyadh.

Under the agreement, Quantic will invest up to SAR750 million through Lendo, with the capital dedicated to providing working capital financing to Saudi SMEs.

What Lendo does

Founded in 2019 by Osama AlRaee and Mohammed Jawabri, Lendo operates a Shariah-compliant debt crowdfunding platform regulated and supervised by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA), connecting institutional and retail investors with SMEs seeking financing.

The partnership

The programme will allow Lendo to expand its working capital financing capacity and launch new financing solutions for SMEs, while Quantic will oversee the deployment of its institutional capital in line with Lendo’s financing strategy.

Quantic, a Vienna-headquartered asset manager and member of the C-Quadrat Investment Group, will also structure Shariah-compliant investment products based on the financed assets for international investors, creating a channel for foreign institutional capital into Saudi SME financing.
