KISAH Raises ₹35.9 Cr Series A Led by Fireside Ventures

KISAH, an omnichannel menswear brand, has raised ₹35.9 Cr (about $3.7 Mn) in its first institutional funding round.
The Series A was led by Fireside Ventures at a post-money valuation of around ₹211 Cr (about $22 Mn).
What KISAH Does
Founded in 2018, the Kolkata-based company sells contemporary ethnic and occasion wear for men, targeting wedding guests and consumers beyond the traditional groom market. Its range includes kurtas and sherwanis alongside more contemporary pieces such as bomber jackets, flared trousers and sneakers.
The brand operates across its own D2C platform, marketplaces including Myntra and Amazon, and physical stores. It sits at the premium end of online ethnicwear, with an average selling price of about ₹4,000 on Myntra.

KISAH clocked a revenue of ₹65 Cr in FY26 while remaining profitable, with an EBITDA margin of around 5-6%. International markets, with the US as its primary overseas market, contribute 8-10% of revenue.
KISAH’s Offline Push
KISAH operates 12 stores across Bengaluru, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Visakhapatnam, among other markets. The brand plans to reach around 100 stores.
Retail is expected to be the main growth driver in FY27. The offline business is projected to grow four-fivefold during the year and contribute 25-30% to KISAH’s overall business.
“We are learning retail right now. We’ve had very good positive early signs for us. The idea is that we are using this money to create our playbooks, and then the retail expansion is something which should be funded by franchisees,” cofounder Yash Sarawagi told Inc42.
