Kaapi Machines raises Rs 50 Cr from Sedna HoReCa

Kaapi Machines, a coffee equipment and services provider, has raised Rs 50 crore in an equity infusion from Sedna HoReCa, a private equity-backed B2B solutions provider for the hotel, restaurant, and café segment. The two companies are also entering into a strategic partnership alongside the investment. A valuation was not disclosed.

The company supplies the operational backbone for India's commercial coffee market — automatic and semi-automatic espresso machines, commercial blenders, roasters, and grinders — and is the official distributor for international brands including La Marzocco, Mahlkönig, Rancilio, and Probat.

Beyond equipment, Kaapi Machines offers barista training, latte art courses, café consulting, maintenance and repair services, and operates the Something's Brewing e-commerce platform for home brewers. Led by Abhinav Mathur, its customer base spans large café chains, QSRs, speciality roasters, hotels, retailers, corporates, and coffee vending businesses.

The partnership with Sedna is expected to expand Kaapi Machines' product portfolio, strengthen its manufacturing capabilities, and enhance its technology stack, warehousing, and service infrastructure.

The company also plans to explore adjacent product categories for its existing customers by leveraging Sedna's capabilities.

For a global partner or equipment brand, the transaction signals that India's speciality coffee supply chain is consolidating around scaled, service-heavy distribution platforms — exactly the kind of infrastructure international brands need to enter the market without building their own networks.
