IndigoTex raises Rs 5 Cr for waterless wool finishing tech

IIT Delhi-originated deeptech textile startup IndigoTex has raised Rs 5 crore in a funding round led by IAN Angel Fund. SIDBI, FITT and IIT Delhi Angels also participated.

The proceeds will be used to set up manufacturing, expand its sales and operations team, and commercialise its textile products.

Waterless wool and wool-based fabrics

Founded in 2024 by Satendra Singh, Prof. B.S. Butola and Dilip Singh, IndigoTex is developing waterless wool finishing technology and wool-based fabrics.

Its IndiWool Denim combines wool with denim, with variants ranging from fabrics with lower wool content for all-weather use to wool-rich fabrics for colder climates.

The company is also developing ECOTEX Wool, a technology for washable wool and poly-wool fabrics.
