India quick commerce growth is set to accelerate

India’s quick commerce sector is witnessing consolidation, with net order value growth for leading platforms expected to accelerate to as much as 21.6% quarter-on-quarter in Q2FY27, according to an Emkay report cited by The Economic Times on October 11, 2026.

The report links the shift to higher minimum order values and reduced discounts at some platforms, which are moving demand towards competitors.

What the platforms do

Microsoft and Amazon offer software ecosystems, AWS provides cloud services, and eBay operates buyer-seller marketplaces.

Funding rounds and cross-border capital moves, one email, five minutes.

The report distinguishes quick commerce from food delivery, where order value growth is expected to remain steady at around 18% year-on-year. Emkay said competition could intensify during the festive season.

Digital platform investment opportunities

Emkay also said digital platform companies offer attractive investment opportunities because of their long-term growth potential and operating leverage. It cautioned that earnings multiples are difficult to compare directly because companies differ in growth, profitability, business maturity, and operating leverage.
