ideaForge GST Demand: ₹109.2 Cr Order Explained
ideaForge Technology has received a GST demand and penalty order totalling ₹109.2 Cr over alleged tax underpayment on drone sales. The order is from the Additional Commissioner of CGST and Central Excise, Belapur, and covers January 2022 to March 2024.
The order includes a ₹54.6 Cr tax demand and an equal penalty. The tax authority alleges that ideaForge paid GST at 5%, creating a shortfall of 13 percentage points. The company said the government clarified in 2025 that drones attract 5% GST.
