Gravity raises $15M from Info Edge Ventures and 3one4 Capital

Bengaluru-based premium home interior materials startup Gravity has raised $15 million in a mix of equity and debt funding led by Info Edge Ventures and 3one4 Capital. Alteria Capital, Genesia Ventures and a group of angel investors also participated in the round.

Founded by former Livspace executives Saurabh Jain and Lalit Mittal, Gravity is building a platform for India’s interior materials ecosystem. The startup currently focuses on the kitchen and wardrobe segments and brings together specialist businesses on a common technology, distribution, key account management and operating infrastructure.

Jain previously served as CEO of Livspace India, where he helped scale the business to an annualised revenue run rate of around Rs 1,500 crore. Mittal served as chief business officer for India and led Livspace’s expansion across 30 cities.

Gravity is targeting designers, architects, modular showrooms and design-and-build studios, which influence material selection and procurement for home interior projects. The startup aims to simplify sourcing across fragmented suppliers while improving availability, fulfilment and pricing visibility. Gravity estimates India’s home interiors market at around Rs 3.5 lakh crore, with the design-specified material market accounting for about Rs 1.5 lakh crore.

Gravity said its initial portfolio of businesses has a multi-hundred-crore revenue base and is EBITDA positive. It plans to expand into categories such as doors and windows, lighting, wall surfaces, home automation and other adjacent interior systems. The fresh capital will be used to strengthen Gravity’s technology, distribution and key account infrastructure. The startup will also deploy the funds for category expansion, brand building and working capital.
