IFSCA says family offices can access global markets through vehicles domiciled in the International Financial Services Centre instead of creating complex offshore entities from scratch. The first foreign Family Investment Fund under the 2025 regulations was registered on June 29, 2026. Vikramee Family Investment Fund IFSC Pvt Ltd is managed by Poornam Asset Management (IFSC) Pvt Ltd.
The wider outbound channel has about 48 schemes with zero domestic allocation. These schemes have raised $1.1 billion and deployed $945.9 million entirely into foreign assets across 59 destination countries.

Who it affects
Indian family offices with global investment plans have an institutional route through GIFT City. However, the source does not establish how much Indian family-office wealth has entered the dedicated FIF structure.
Capital controls remain a constraint. The source says family offices may have a limited ability to invest in international markets, while established offshore structures such as holding companies, private trusts and operating assets can make relocation a complex, multi-year exercise.
