GalaxEye secures US patent for OptoSAR satellite imaging tech
Bengaluru-based space startup GalaxEye has secured a US patent for the core architecture behind its OptoSAR imaging system.
What GalaxEye does
GalaxEye builds Earth-observation technology that combines optical and Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) sensors on a single satellite platform. The approach captures aligned imagery across weather and lighting conditions, pairing optical clarity with SAR's all-weather, day-and-night capabilities.
With the patent, the startup plans to build a 30-satellite constellation over the next five years, targeting applications including agriculture, insurance, security and disaster response.
