Gaia raises $1.5 million pre-Seed for sovereign enterprise AI

Saudi Arabia-based enterprise AI startup Gaia has raised $1.5 million in a pre-Seed round led by Seedra Ventures. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Founded in 2026 by Badr Al-Malluh (CEO) and Mohammad Rababah (CPTO), Gaia provides a sovereign AI platform that connects enterprise knowledge, files, emails, systems, and workflows into a single operational intelligence layer, with all organisational data staying within the company's environment.
The platform combines three capabilities: enterprise search that returns instant, cited answers showing exactly which file or record the information came from; a generative AI assistant that delivers responses grounded in the organisation's own knowledge base; and purpose-built AI agents that automate recurring work, run workflows, and complete tasks across applications.

The corridor, every morning.
Funding rounds and cross-border capital moves, one email, five minutes.
Every feature remains permission-aware: employees see only what they already have access to, and high-risk agent actions route to a person for approval before execution.
For global enterprises watching the Gulf's AI adoption curve, Gaia addresses a specific blocker: 70% of leaders at large enterprises cite data security as a barrier to AI adoption. By keeping data sovereign, it never leaves the organisation; the platform targets the compliance and trust requirements that generic enterprise AI tools cannot meet in regulated markets.
"Enterprise knowledge is often fragmented across systems, emails, documents, and teams, limiting an organisation's ability to operate effectively.
Gaia transforms that knowledge into actionable intelligence, enabling enterprises to make faster better decisions, improve productivity, and automate work securely without the fear of data ever leaving the organisation," said Badr Al-Malluh, Co-Founder and CEO of Gaia.
The company will use the funding to continue developing its platform and work with Saudi enterprises as they adopt AI across their operations, aligning with the Kingdom's Vision 2030 digital transformation push.
