Epigamia $20M secondary deal Verlinvest Sauce Mirchandani

Epigamia's cap table is being reshuffled through a secondary deal worth a little over $20 million. The transaction sees long-time investor Verlinvest and the family of late founder Rohan Mirchandani increase their stakes, while Manu Chandra-led Sauce enters Epigamia’s cap table.

Specific shareholding and valuation details were not disclosed.

The deal enabled profitable exits for early backers including DSG Consumer Partners, Deepika Padukone-led Ka Enterprises, and other angel investors, according to Verlinvest’s managing director and head of Asia, Arjun Anand.

Epigamia, operated by Drums Food International, makes Greek yogurt, protein milkshakes, smoothies, lactose-free products, high-protein paneer, and products specifically for kids. Greek yogurt remains its core product, driving more than half of revenue. The company services over 150 cities in India, with quick commerce contributing 50–60% of revenues every month.

The company said it is profitable and cash-rich, with no immediate funding requirement. Epigamia aims to exit the current financial year at an ARR above ₹700 crore and reach ₹1,000 crore-plus ARR the following financial year. Founded in 2007, it has raised upwards of $80 million from investors including Verlinvest, DSG Consumer, and Danone Manifesto Ventures.

“Our decision to increase our stake, having first invested over a decade ago, reflects our conviction in the potential of the brand, the strength of its leadership, and the significant opportunity we see in India’s evolving food and beverage landscape,” Arjun Anand, Verlinvest’s managing director & head of Asia, told Mint.
