Egypt EdTech 3C Coding School raises $3M in seed for Saudi Arabia expansion

Egypt-based edtech startup 3C Coding School has raised a $3 million seed round. The direct equity investment was led by MRG Economic Group, headed by Egyptian business leader Mahmoud Ramadan, with participation from investor Amr Saad and a group of strategic angel investors. Deal terms beyond the amount raised were not disclosed.
Founded in 2015 by engineers Hossam Hosny and Ahmed Khallaf, 3C Coding School teaches coding and technology to children and young people. Its programme tracks span software development, data science, AI, machine learning, game development, and cybersecurity, all built on a hands-on, project-based model.
The company has reached over 120,000 students to date while recording a 230% surge in revenue. The capital will fund a push into the Saudi Arabian market, where 3C aims to establish a local presence through strategic partnerships and tailored educational tracks.

A significant portion of the investment is also earmarked for accelerating an AI-powered learning platform that analyses individual student progress, supports instructors, and adapts course content to each learner's pace and ability.
For international buyers and partners watching the India–Gulf corridor, the raise signals a maturing regional edtech thesis: specialised, scalable skills platforms are pulling institutional capital to serve a young, digitally ambitious population across the Middle East.
Saudi Arabia's accelerating digital economy makes it a logical first expansion target beyond 3C's home market of Egypt.
"When we launched 3C in 2015, we were driven by a core belief that technology would become an indispensable part of every child's future," said co-founder Hossam Hosny. "Coding isn't just for future software engineers; it is a fundamental medium for teaching kids how to think, innovate, and solve complex problems."
Co-founder Ahmed Khallaf added: "Securing a $3 million Seed round is a landmark milestone for 3C. However, we see this investment not as a final destination but as the launching pad for an even more ambitious chapter in our journey."
